Up on the Sand Hill: David Horst is a former newspaper writer and editor now employed with a nonprofit in Appleton, WI. He was a reporter and editor with The Post-Crescent in Appleton, WI, from 1982-2003 and later a freelance nature columnist for Gannett Wisconsin.
